PARLIAMENT OF INDIA : FILLING UP OF THE POST OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE, LSTV FEBRUARY 2011.
Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Chief Executive, Lok Sabha Television Channel, as per details given below:
1.CHIEF EXECUTIVE (Deputation) : selection from serving officers of Central/State Governments or Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies: (i) holding analogous posts or having 03 years regular service in the Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (PB-4) + Grade Pay: Rs. 10000 or equivalent, and (ii) having 10 years experience in television or electronic media management.
No age limit has been prescribed for appointment by deputation. The period of deputation shall be initially for 2 years or up to the date of superannuation of applicant, whichever is earlier. The other terms and conditions of deputation will be in accordance with the instructions consolidated by DOPT vide their O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt (Pay II) dated 17 June 2010.
2.CHIEF EXECUTIVE (On Contract) : By selection from amongst candidates: (i) possessing a professional degree in the field of television/electronic media from a recognized University/Institute; (ii) having at least 10 years of experience in the field of television/electronic media including 5 years in top managerial position; and (iii) having high professional standing and recognized expertise, inter alia, in management of a News Channel, production of public-affairs/news-based programmes, coverage and live telecast of special events, marketing and revenue generation, etc.
The terms and conditions for contractual appointment shall be as under:
(i) The period of Contract shall be initially for two years, which may be extended, subject to satisfactory performance.
(ii) The maximum age limit for contractual appointment shall be 65 years as on closing date of the receipt of applications.
(iii) The incumbent will be extended the facility of health cover through mediclaim policy for which all expenses will be borne by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.
(iv) The incumbent shall have to give one month notice or deposit an amount equal to one month remuneration if he/she wishes to terminate the contract.
(v) The services of the incumbent shall be terminated without notice in case his performance is found to be unsatisfactory.
(vi) The decision of Speaker, Lok Sabha shall be final in respect of all the matters not specifically provided for.
